Job Summary:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of clean, fresh linens and towels for hotel guests while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. This position also assists the housekeeping team by stripping guest rooms and providing additional support as needed to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items according to hotel standards.
- Monitor laundry supplies and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area.
- Strip used linens, towels, and trash from guest rooms to prepare them for housekeeping.
- Assist housekeeping staff with cleaning rooms and other duties as assigned during busy periods.
- Restock housekeeping carts with clean linens and supplies as needed.
- Follow all hotel safety procedures and infection control guidelines.
- Provide friendly and professional service while working with team members to meet daily operational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling repetitive tasks.
- Exposure to heat, humidity, and cleaning chemicals associated with commercial laundry operations.
This position plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and overall guest experience at Hampton Inn & Suites by ensuring high-quality laundry service and providing valuable support to the housekeeping department.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
