Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. Will take some prep shifts as well. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all dishes meet our standards for taste and presentation. This role is essential to maintaining the efficiency and success of our kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
- Assist in meal preparation for catering events and fine dining services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Adhere to food safety regulations to prevent contamination and ensure quality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking in a professional kitchen setting is preferred.
- Breakfast Experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the food industry.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
