Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Part-Time Graphic Designer/Social Media person. This will include Instagram, Mailchimp, Squarespace, Keynote, Shopify and the ability to create gifs and post videos on Instagram. There will be no technical training for this job-- candidate must have proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop engaging visual content for digital marketing campaigns, social media, websites, and print materials.
- Create and refine branding elements including logos, icons, and visual identities that align with project goals
- Design layouts for brochures, posters, advertisements, and other print collateral with meticulous attention to detail and prepress requirements
- Produce motion graphics and video content using Adobe After Effects and other graphic design software to enhance multimedia projects
- Collaborate with company owner using design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for seamless project execution
- Prepare comprehensive design files optimized for print production while managing color accuracy and consistency across media
- Assist in photo editing, photo manipulation, and digital art creation to support marketing initiatives and content development
Skills
- Strong proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite overall along with Mailchimp, Squarespace and Shopify.
- Expertise in art direction, branding strategies, typography design for various media, and layout design principles
- Experience with motion graphics, video editing, and sign manufacturing is highly desirable
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly through visual storytelling
- Understanding of UI/UX principles for web design; experience with InVision or similar prototyping tools is a plus
- Strong attention to detail in typesetting, layout design, and production design ensuring high-quality outputs.
