About the Role
The Head-spa Specialist MUST be a licensed cosmetologist and MUST be available at least every other weekend (Saturday or Sunday - both days preferred).
The Head Spa - New Albany/Polaris is dedicated to delivering outstanding head spa treatments in a serene and upscale environment. This position emphasizes client relaxation and well-being, combining Japanese-inspired techniques with advanced scalp therapies to improve hair health and promote overall wellness. The role provides a pathway for professional growth and skill enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Consultations: Assess client needs, address inquiries, and recommend suitable treatments.
- Head Spa Treatments: Perform signature head spa services, including scalp massages and deep cleansing therapies.
- Blow-Dry Styling: Create polished looks such as sleek, wavy, or voluminous styles.
- Luxurious Ambiance: Maintain a relaxing, high-end setting that ensures clients feel pampered.
- Client Education: Share tips and recommend products for effective at-home hair and scalp care.
- Sanitation and Organization: Ensure tools and work areas are clean, sanitized, and well-organized.
- Continuous Learning: Stay informed on the latest trends, techniques, and products in the industry.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the team to meet business objectives and deliver a client-focused experience.
Qualifications
- Cosmetology License: Must hold a current and valid cosmetology license.
- Customer Service Excellence: Strong interpersonal skills to provide personalized, warm service and ensure a positive client experience.
- Experience with hair and blow-dry techniques & can do a great blowout.
- Professional Appearance: Maintain a polished and professional demeanor at all times.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in luxury services is a plus.
- Familiarity with hair and scalp care products.
- Background in massage or aesthetics is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
