Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to clients in their homes as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of individuals requiring care. This role is vital in promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Must be HCA registered. Able to lift, Hoyer lift experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs.
- Launder clothing and linens as required, maintaining a clean living environment.
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations to enhance emotional well-being.
- Help clients with mobility, including lifting or transferring them safely as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of care provided.
- Support clients with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health plans.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and tidy home environment.
- Assist with home community care activities, promoting social engagement and participation.
Skills
- Experience in caregiving or home health preferred, with a strong understanding of long-term care principles.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility challenges.
- Proficient in meal preparation, ensuring adherence to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining medical records and documentation accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care in a home setting.
- Ability to clean effectively while respecting the client's personal space and belongings.
