About the Position
Capital Label Company is seeking a dependable and motivated Night Shift Production & Material Handler to join our growing manufacturing team.
This is an active, hands-on position responsible for keeping materials and production moving efficiently throughout the night shift. You'll stage and move raw materials, keep production equipment supplied, move jobs between departments, maintain an organized production floor, and assist with rewind and finishing operations as needed.
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM–12:30 AM — enjoy a three-day weekend every week!
Responsibilities
- Stage and move raw materials for scheduled production jobs
- Keep press and finishing operators supplied with necessary materials
- Move work between printing, finishing, rewind, quality control, and shipping
- Load, unload, organize, and store incoming materials
- Maintain organized raw material and production areas
- Operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment
- Assist with inventory counts and material tracking
- Maintain a clean and safe production environment
- Assist production operators as needed
- Learn to operate label rewind equipment
- Rewind, slit, inspect, and package finished label rolls
- Provide additional rewind and finishing support during periods of high production volume
- Cross-train on additional production equipment as opportunities arise
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who sees what needs to be done and takes care of it.
The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, organized, physically active, comfortable working at a quick pace, and willing to help wherever needed.
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, material handling, shipping/receiving, or production experience is preferred. Printing or label experience is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
This is an active manufacturing position requiring extended periods of standing and walking, as well as bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and safely moving production materials throughout the shift.
