We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and the ability to operate different types of trucks, including roll-off trucks, tankers, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds. A commitment to safety and excellent customer service is essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of trucks, including roll-off trucks, tankers, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds for the delivery of freight.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual handling techniques as required.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit.
- Ensure that all cargo is secured properly before transport.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
- Experience operating roll-off trucks, tankers, tractor-trailers, or flatbeds is preferred.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Prefer English/Spanish or English/Chinese bilingual.
