Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of specialized trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks. As a vital link in our supply chain, you’ll ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including manual transmission trucks, across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and proper handling
- Drive various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to deliver goods efficiently
- Manage route driving responsibilities with precision, optimizing delivery schedules for timely arrivals
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any logistical issues promptly
Requirements
- Valid CDL license with endorsements relevant to the types of trucks operated (e.g., Refrigerated trailer, Tanker)
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience with freight handling
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is preferred
- Knowledge of load securing techniques for flatbeds and tanker safety procedures for liquid cargoes
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading freight and handling heavy equipment safely
- Strong understanding of route planning, traffic regulations, and safety protocols for commercial driving
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
