Overview
Changes Wellness Center is a licensed residential detox and substance use treatment facility providing structured, trauma-informed care in a small-bed setting. We are seeking an experienced, dependable, ethical, and detail-oriented Residential Technician to support daily client care, safety, and program operations.
This role is essential to maintaining a stable therapeutic environment and ensuring clients receive consistent support during early recovery.
Hiring for all positions: Full Time - Part Time - Weekends - Overnights

Responsibilities
- Assist with and carry out daily residential and program services
- Support the admissions process, orientation of new residents, and overall
- resident management
- Supervise self-administration of client medications in accordance with facility
- policy
- Facilitate assigned groups, meetings, or activities as directed
- Document observations, milieu interventions, and shift activities in resident records and shift logs
- Support daily residential routines, including wake-ups, chores, and structured activities
- Assist clients with basic needs as appropriate within scope of role
- Transport clients to approved appointments, meetings, or outings as required
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment at all times
Qualifications
- Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician (RADT) or Registered Addiction Counselor (RAC) (required)
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with substance use and/or mental health populations
- High school diploma required (college coursework in behavioral health preferred)
- Strong professionalism, reliability, and ethical boundaries
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Experience with KIPU or electronic health records is a plus
Required Certifications & Clearances
- RADT or RAC registration (active and in good standing)
- Valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Employment history verification required
Physical Work Requirements
- Ability to remain on feet for extended periods
- Ability to respond to emergencies calmly and appropriately
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs as needed
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as scheduled

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
