About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Case Manager to join our Class Action Settlement Administration team. This role is responsible for managing all phases of assigned class action settlements, ensuring accurate execution, compliance with court orders, and exceptional service to clients, counsel, and class members.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working with complex data, legal documentation, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned class action settlement cases from implementation through final distribution and closure
- Coordinate settlement administration tasks, including notice programs, claims processing, payment calculations, and disbursements
- Review and interpret settlement agreements, court orders, and case-specific requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, class counsel, defense counsel, and vendors
- Oversee data intake, validation, and quality control to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Prepare status reports, declarations, and supporting documentation for court filings
- Monitor deadlines and ensure all milestones are met in accordance with approved timelines
- Respond to class member inquiries professionally and accurately
- Collaborate with internal teams (IT, Finance, Print/Mail, Compliance, Legal) to ensure seamless case execution
- Assist with post-distribution activities, including uncashed check protocols and redistributions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel experience strongly preferred)
- Comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
Preferred Skills
- 2+ years of experience in class action settlement administration, legal administration, claims processing, or a related field
- Strong understanding of class action procedures and settlement workflows
- Experience working with Qualified Settlement Funds (QSFs)
- Familiarity with CAFA notices, unclaimed property requirements, and court reporting
- Prior experience communicating directly with legal counsel and institutional clients
- CRM or settlement administration software experience
