Job Summary
Architectural Millwork company located in Cranford, NJ is looking for an Custom Millworker/Cabinet Maker.
Requirements: 3 to 5 years experience as a custom millworker/cabinet maker is a must. Ability to operate machinery such as edge bander, table saw, beam saw and overall general shop equipment. Ability to read blueprints and work together with the entire team to accomplish projects. Shop specializes in laminates and solid surfaces.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately produce custom cabinetry and wood components
- Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines safely and efficiently to cut, shape, assemble, and finish materials
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and components while maintaining safety protocols for power tool safety and construction site standards
- Maintain a clean workspace by organizing tools and materials; ensure all safety guidelines are followed during fabrication and installation processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing and millwork fabrication is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment effectively
- Experience with forklift operation and materials handling is highly desirable
- Familiarity with construction processes, assembly techniques, and fabrication methods
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Candidates must possess the following: great communication skills, sense of responsibility, time management skills, organizational skills. Bilingual in English/Spanish/Russian is a plus.
