Job Summary

Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to stimulate learning and curiosity.
- Plan and execute daily lesson plans that align with educational standards and individual student needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
- Foster a nurturing environment by managing classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques.
- Support children’s social-emotional development by promoting respectful communication skills and emotional regulation.
- Engage in ongoing communication with parents and guardians to share progress, address concerns, and collaborate on individual education plans.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that encourages exploration while adhering to child welfare standards.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing where appropriate to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements, participate in staff meetings, and contribute to a cohesive team environment.
- Support children’s physical development through teaching physical education activities suitable for various age groups including toddlers, preschoolers, and early learners.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development with knowledge of Montessori methods preferred.
- Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, and team members.
- Familiarity with literacy education, standardized testing procedures, tutoring techniques, and teaching physical education activities.
