Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter Pipe Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding and pipe fitting, with a strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and industry standards. This role involves working with various materials and techniques to install, maintain, and repair piping systems in compliance with safety and quality regulations. Candidates should possess mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Perform ASME B31.3 pipe fitting and welding work in a chemical manufacturing plant.
- Utilize plasma, gas, or electric arc welding on various metallic materials together.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
- Measure and cut pipes accurately using tube bending tools and basic math skills.
- Conduct soldering and rigging as needed for pipe installation or repair projects.
- Follow ASME codes & standards to ensure all work meets safety and quality requirements.
- Maintain equipment, perform routine inspections, and troubleshoot issues during installation or maintenance tasks.
- Work collaboratively with team members on construction sites or manufacturing facilities to complete projects efficiently.
Requirements
- 3 or more years of pipefitting and welding within manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, and other relevant welding techniques.
- Knowledge of GTAW and SMAW as they relate to welding carbon and stainless steel.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with familiarity using hand tools, power tools, calipers, pipe threading machines, and tube bending equipment.
- Strong understanding of ASME codes & standards related to piping systems.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41.00 - $46.00 per hour
