The Gardens at Gettysburg is seeking a Cook to join our skilled nursing facility in Gettysburg, PA.
Our cooks assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in accordance with planned menus, established portion control procedures, and dietary guidelines.
Prepare and serve food according to established menus and dietary requirements
Coordinate food production to ensure meals are ready during scheduled serving times
Follow standard recipes and special diet orders accurately
Memorize, record, and understand menu items, abbreviations, portion sizes, and plate presentation standards
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain compliance with sanitation, food safety, and infection control regulations
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, appliances, and work areas
Assist with inventory control and proper food storage procedures
Work collaboratively with dietary staff to ensure quality meal service for residents
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One (1) year of dining services experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related healthcare setting preferred
Culinary school training preferred
Must be 18 years of age or older
