Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate efficiently through different routes. This position requires a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route completed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients upon delivery.
- Assist in warehouse operations when necessary, including organizing inventory and preparing shipments.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems or maps to optimize delivery routes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Physical ability to lift heavy packages and move items as needed during deliveries.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
