Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs.
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort.
- Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments.
- Proficiency with dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care standards.

Pay: $47.00 - $52.00 per hour
