Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Residential CCTV Technician to join our team and deliver top-tier security solutions to our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems and associated security equipment.
Your expertise in electrical systems, networking, and technical troubleshooting will ensure our customers’ homes are protected with reliable surveillance technology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge security systems, providing essential safety solutions for residential environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and test CCTV cameras, sensors, alarm systems, access control devices, and related low voltage security equipment in residential settings.
- Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately plan system layouts and wiring routes.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues by diagnosing hardware failures, network connectivity problems, and system malfunctions using hand tools and remote access software.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and upgrades on existing security systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist clients with system operation training and provide technical troubleshooting support for alarm & access control systems.
- Manage cabling installations, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols.
- Document all installation procedures, service reports, and system configurations meticulously for future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in security systems or surveillance installation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience including low voltage wiring and electrical blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with computer networking, telecommunication systems, remote access software, and system design principles.
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and construction blueprints accurately.
- Hands-on experience with CCTV equipment troubleshooting, sensors, fire alarm systems, and alarm & access control systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools such as NEC-compliant drills or cutters, and testing devices for electrical work.
- Knowledge of security system sales processes is a plus; excellent communication skills are essential for client interaction.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building codes enhances your ability to work efficiently in residential environments.
A company van will be provided to you after day 3. Please have a valid drivers license.

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
