Milacron is looking for a Milling Machine Operator to join our team in Mt. Orab, Ohio. In this position, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining milling machines to shape and cut metal materials while ensuring precision, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
Work You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate milling machines according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and design schematics to understand machining requirements.
- Select, install, and adjust the appropriate tooling and equipment for milling operations.
- Adjust machine settings to control cutting speed, feed rates, and tool paths.
- Monitor machine performance during operation to ensure proper functionality and prevent defects.
- Inspect and measure completed parts to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Perform routine machine maintenance to support safe and efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production and quality objectives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma with 1+ years of machining experience, completion of a Machining Certificate program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Currently enrolled in a bona fide technical program if employed as a high school student.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform routine machine maintenance tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and perform the physical demands of the role.
- Experience operating milling machines preferred.
