What You'll Do
- Provide skilled nursing care in the patient's home
- Deliver tracheostomy and ventilator care as ordered
- Administer G-tube feedings using a Kangaroo Pump
- Perform straight catheterization as needed
- Administer medications and treatments according to the plan of care
- Assess and monitor the patient's condition
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with the patient's family and BrightStar Care clinical team
- Follow all infection prevention and patient safety standards
What Makes You a Great Fit
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Reliable attendance and professionalism
- Ability to work independently in a home care setting
Preferred Experience
- Pediatric nursing
- Home care nursing
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilator management
- G-tube feeding using a Kangaroo Pump
- Straight catheterization
- Experience caring for medically complex patients
