Job Summary
A1 Quality Roofing is seeking a reliable, professional, and highly organized Receptionist / Customer Service Coordinator to join our growing roofing company in East Orange, NJ.
The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for customers and must be comfortable answering phone calls, scheduling roof inspections and estimates, responding to new leads, following up with customers, and keeping accurate information in our CRM system.
We are looking for someone who is proactive and understands that this position is more than simply answering the phone. You will play an important role in customer service, appointment scheduling, lead follow-up, and daily office operations.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls professionally and promptly.
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone, text, email, and website leads.
- Schedule roof inspections, estimates, repairs, and appointments.
- Ask customers basic questions to understand their roofing needs.
- Enter and update customer information accurately in the CRM.
- Follow up with new leads and customers who have received estimates.
- Confirm upcoming appointments.
- Return missed calls promptly.
- Handle emergency roof leak calls with professionalism and urgency.
- Maintain accurate notes for every customer interaction.
- Coordinate communication between customers, sales representatives, and field crews.
- Assist with estimates, agreements, invoices, and customer documents.
- Help request customer reviews after completed projects.
- Perform general office duties, including email management, scheduling, and data entry.
Qualifications
- Previous receptionist, customer service, call center, or office experience preferred.
- Excellent phone and communication skills.
- Professional, friendly, and confident when speaking with customers.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable using computers, email, CRM software, and scheduling systems.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple calls, leads, and appointments.
- Sales or appointment-setting experience is a strong plus.
- Roofing, construction, or home-improvement experience is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus but not required.
