Industrial Electrician
Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA
Pay Rate: $25.00hr - $35.00hr
Shift: Monday-Friday, 6AM-2:30PM
Summary
We're looking for a strong-minded, self-directed Industrial Electrician who owns their work — someone with real depth in high voltage systems and controls, hands-on panel building experience, and the confidence to troubleshoot in the field without hand-holding. You'll execute electrical engineering plans and drawings while driving quality, working alongside a team of electricians on one or two projects at a time. You'll interact daily with the lead electrician, plant manager, electrical/controls engineers, and other departments to keep electrical work moving forward, and you'll report progress daily to the lead electrician and plant manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review electrical drawings and schematics
- Wire electrical industrial panels per NEC codes
- Wire electromechanical equipment, pumps, heaters, and PLCs
- Field-install process equipment and machinery
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on installed systems
- Assemble and wire control equipment, including Programmable Logic Controllers
- Analyze and solve electrical problems independently
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of industrial electrical experience, with demonstrated strength in high voltage systems, controls, panel building, and field troubleshooting.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
- Ability to wire and lay out PLC power and control panels
- Ability to bend, size, and route conduit
- Working knowledge of AC/DC motors and motor starters
- Working knowledge of 480/240/120 volt systems
- Ability to install, calibrate, and connect transmitters, switches, and process control devices
- Proficient with ohmmeters, voltmeters, and a full range of electrician's tools
- Thorough knowledge of electrical codes
- Ability to calculate wire quantities and sizes in conduit based on diagrams
- Ability to run point-to-point tests and troubleshoot wiring problems
- Team-oriented, organized, and focused on meeting goals
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to lift 75 lbs.
- Able to stand for extended periods and climb on/off skids
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
