Job Description:
Superior Water Restoration is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Mitigation Technician to join our team. As a Mitigation Technician, you will play a crucial role in responding to water damage emergencies, mitigating damage, and restoring properties to their pre-loss condition. This hands-on position requires strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency water damage situations promptly and professionally.
- Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial properties.
- Remove damaged materials and contents from affected areas.
- Set up and monitor equipment to facilitate the drying process.
- Inspect and assess damage to develop an appropriate mitigation plan.
- Document all mitigation activities, including moisture readings, equipment setup, and progress reports.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient and effective mitigation and restoration processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; IICRC certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in water damage mitigation or related fields preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in physically demanding and fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to be on-call and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when necessary.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 pounds).
