Position Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Reports To: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) / Clinical Supervisor
Position Summary: The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or BCaBA. The RBT is responsible for providing direct 1:1 or group Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to clients. RBT implements individualized treatment plans, collects accurate data, and supports clients in building functional, social, and communication skills in alignment with their treatment goals.
Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver direct ABA therapy to clients as outlined in individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising BCBA.
· Implement behavior intervention plans (BIP) with fidelity to reduce challenging behaviors and teach replacement skills.
· Collect and record accurate data on client behavior and skill acquisition during therapy sessions.
· Assist in conducting preference assessments and skills assessments as directed by the BCBA.
· Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment for clients.
· Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and team members to support skill generalization across environments.
· Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
· Uphold professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards in compliance with BACB guidelines, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding client progress, needs, and concerns.
Qualifications Required:
· High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred).
· Current RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
· Completion of a 40-hour RBT training course and successful completion of competency assessment.
· Ability to pass a background check and meet all state/federal requirements.
Qualifications Preferred:
· Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
· Familiarity with ABA principles, behavior management strategies, and data collection.

Work Environment:
· Services may be delivered in-home, in-day program, in-school, or community settings.
· May involve travel between service locations.
· Schedule may include evenings or weekends based on client needs.
