Wee Folk School is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team! This is a Monday–Friday, half-day position teaching our 3-year-old class in a warm, play-based preschool environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment.
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff.
- Maintain open, professional communication with families.
- Follow all licensing and school policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Required: Must have a degree in early childhood education or a four year degree with the 90 hour course in Child Development/Activities.
- Previous preschool teaching experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday 8:15- 12:15
- Half-day position
- School Year runs Sept- May
- Possible Summer Camp Teacher schedule for over the summer months (optional)
