We are looking for a motivated Residential Roofing Project Manager / Inspector to join our team and ensure every project meets our high standards.
Position Summary
As a Residential Roofing Project Manager / Inspector, you will oversee roofing projects from start to finish while serving as the quality assurance lead on the job site. You will ensure work meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices, while supervising crews, coordinating schedules, and communicating with homeowners. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy problem-solving, attention to detail, and maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee residential roofing projects, including asphalt shingles, metal, and other common residential systems, from planning through completion.
- Act as the roofing quality assurance lead, performing thorough inspections to ensure work meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices.
- Supervise crews, subcontractors, and field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Coordinate scheduling, material orders, equipment, and inspections.
- Communicate with homeowners, general contractors, and property managers to provide project updates and ensure satisfaction.
- Diagnose roof leaks and other roofing issues, develop repair solutions, and perform or oversee repair work.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure scope is properly executed.
- Track labor, materials, and job costs; prepare reports for management.
- Support the estimating team by providing input on scopes of work, bid walks, and pricing as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and quality standards across projects.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of residential roofing experience
- Prior experience as a project manager / inspector preferred
- Strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Experience with quality inspections, diagnostics, and problem-solving.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret project specifications, drawings, and contracts.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in residential roofing.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders and access rooftops safely.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Capable of lifting 50+ lbs as needed.
