Lab Technician – Garland, TX
Pay: $19.57/hour
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing laboratory. This role is responsible for preparing samples, conducting laboratory testing, documenting results, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment while following all quality and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory testing according to established procedures.
- Prepare, label, and organize samples for analysis.
- Accurately record test results and maintain laboratory documentation.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Monitor product quality and report any out-of-specification results.
- Follow all safety, quality, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking laboratory supplies.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure timely testing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science field preferred.
- Previous laboratory, manufacturing, or quality control experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately document and communicate test results.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds as needed.
