Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Support the kitchen team with food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all food items
- Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients needed for upcoming service periods
- Contribute to efficient food service by managing time effectively during busy hours
- Support catering events by preparing and serving food in accordance with health regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are highly valued
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, knife skills, and meal preparation enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling practices is essential
- Experience with kitchen equipment operation and basic food industry practices is advantageous
