RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing the day-to-day operation, quality, and safety functions in the department.
- Responsible for the coordination of staffing, materials, quality control, and maintenance to meet expected productivity.
- Maintain operations in compliance with SOP’s, company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Provide process guidance and technical troubleshooting support to production personnel in order to maintain a high level of productivity and quality.
- Ability to understand and operate manufacturing equipment/process in the Polyurethane production area.
- Work closely with management staff regarding productivity, quality, and employee performance.
- Ensure good housekeeping is adhered to and maintained in all work areas.
- Any other duties as they arise.
EXPERIENCE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
- A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage, lead, and motivate a team.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA, State, and Federal employee regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
- Unrestricted ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb stairs, ladders and balance.
- Unrestricted ability to use hands and arms.
- Ability to lift, push, pull and/or move 55 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and a wide range of temperatures.
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Noise level is usually loud.
