Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead and oversee our facilities maintenance team at a 168 room SpringHill Suites by Marriott Tampa Downtown. The property has 8 floors, with lobby bar, rooftop restaurant/bar, rooftop outdoor pool. In this vital role, you will ensure the optimal operation, safety, and reliability of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across our facilities. Your leadership will drive maintenance repair procedures, manage projects efficiently, and uphold safety regulations to create a safe, productive environment for all team members. Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage facilities maintenance teams, ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks and repairs
- Oversee mechanical systems repair, electrical systems troubleshooting, HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, and low/high voltage electrical work
- Develop and implement maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations and industry standards
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to schedule work orders, track assets, and maintain accurate records
- Lead projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs, coordinating resources and managing timelines effectively
- Ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards by conducting safety audits and training sessions
- Read schematics and engineering troubleshooting diagrams to diagnose issues efficiently using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters
- Manage facilities maintenance management activities while promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Proven supervising or team management experience within industrial maintenance or facilities management environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in mechanical systems repair and industrial maintenance procedures
- Expertise in electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage troubleshooting; familiarity with electrical experience is essential
- Skilled in HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, and troubleshooting schematics for complex mechanical systems
- Proficiency with CMMS software, Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), and engineering troubleshooting tools
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations along with the ability to enforce safety protocols effectively
- Experience managing facilities maintenance teams with project management skills to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately; experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills in English; ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration
