Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items, including eggs, bacon, sausages, and other morning favorites, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, poaching stations, braising pots, and food prep tools efficiently and safely
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and hygienic work environment
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new breakfast options and ensuring consistency in food production
- Manage food handling responsibilities with precision, including proper storage, portioning, and waste reduction
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation during busy service hours
- Follow food safety management protocols and uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
Qualifications
- Previous dietary aide or food service experience preferred; experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking methods
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency operating kitchen equipment safely
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation in a catering or restaurant environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to serve guests with professionalism and enthusiasm
