As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will:
-
Assist individuals with personal care and activities of daily living, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, housekeeping, and community participation.

Support individuals in achieving greater independence and reaching personal goals.

Teach and reinforce daily living, social, communication, and adaptive skills.
-
Promote dignity, privacy, respect, personal choice, and self-determination.
-
Implement Individual Habilitation Plans (IHPs), behavioral support plans, and individualized service plans.
-
Utilize positive behavioral support strategies to help individuals achieve desired outcomes.
-
Administer medications and support prescribed healthcare programs in accordance with agency policies and regulations.

Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or overall well-being.

Safely transport and accompany individuals to appointments, activities, employment sites, educational programs, and community events.

Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings, training programs, and service planning activities.

High School Diploma or GED
-
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Ability to complete required training and certification requirements

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Commitment to person-centered services and community inclusion

Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field
-
Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual, developmental, behavioral health, or other special needs
-
Experience implementing individualized service or behavioral support plans
-
Part-Time

Flexible schedule based on program needs

May include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Additional hours may be available based on staffing needs

Ability to lift, transfer, and assist with up to 50 pounds

Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and assist individuals throughout the workday

Ability to travel within the community as needed
