About the Role
As a Medical Assistant and Scribe, you'll support our providers and work alongside another MA & Scribe in a collaborative partnership. You'll work primarily with Athena EMR—an intuitive system we'll train you on thoroughly. Your ability to learn quickly, connect with patients, and maintain accuracy matters most.
What You'll Do
- Document patient encounters in real-time using Athena EMR
- Assist with vital signs, patient preparation, and medical histories
- Build rapport with patients and help them feel comfortable during visits
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare standards
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver efficient, compassionate care
- Serve as a friendly point of contact for patients
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong tech skills and willingness to learn Athena EMR (prior experience is a plus)
- Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy
- Personable, empathetic demeanor with patients and staff
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Team player who works well collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems
- Previous medical office or clinical experience
- Medical transcription background
