Health Care facility, located in Queens, NY, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Receivable Office Manager to lead our billing operations and ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Receivable Office Manager will oversee all aspects of the billing and collections process, including insurance billing, Medicaid applications, cash posting, and staff supervision. This role requires a proactive leader with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and maintain the Matrix billing system
- Bill all insurance types, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers,
- Oversee the Medicaid application process, assist the Medicaid Coordinator and ensure timely submissions
- Review and analyze monthly Accounts Receivable aging schedules
- Supervise a team of billing staff and Medicaid coordinator, providing guidance and performance oversight.
- Post all cash receipts accurately and timely
- Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve unpaid claims
- File complaints with appropriate authorities for delayed insurance payments.
- Meeting with families/residents to discuss financial considerations and to distribute PNA funds
- Collaborate with Nursing, Social Services, and Admissions departments to ensure accurate billing and documentation
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and collections
- Monitor and adapt to changes in Medicaid, Medicare, and other insurance billing regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in healthcare billing and collections, preferably in a long-term care setting
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance billing
- Proficiency in Matrix or similar billing systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
