Overview
Our team is looking to add a part-time Facility Support Technician to help with routine maintenance and emergency repair tasks, set up and break down tables and chairs for events, assist with light janitorial duties, and ensure adherence to safety procedures. Healthy Living OKC serves adults 50 and over by providing opportunities for physical activity, social engagement, and lifelong learning. The Facility Technician plays an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and pleasing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with routine and emergency maintenance of the facility, grounds, and major equipment (except computers)
- Set up and break down tables and chairs for classes and meetings
- Perform routine janitorial services (e.g., trash removal, re-stocking supplies)
- Complete preventative maintenance duties to keep facility ready for use (e.g., pool status)
- Perform basic repairs for common areas and furnishings
- Ensure compliance with all facility safety policies and procedures, including fire, building and operation codes
- Issue closing-time reminders and ensure members exit the building
Qualifications
- This is a part-time position. Evenings and possible Saturday daytime hours are available. Flexible three to four days a week.
- Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience in a maintenance-type role.
- Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions of the position, including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, and occasionally moving or lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good interpersonal skills: Communicates clearly and respectfully to co-workers and members at the center.
- Solid dependability: Is consistently at work when scheduled and on time. Follows instructions and demonstrates thoroughness to ensure quality.
- CPR and First Aid Training (to be completed upon hire).
Pay: $15.00 per hour
