Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and motivated Formwork Carpenters to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork systems that shape concrete structures on various construction sites. Your expertise will ensure the precise and safe creation of foundations, walls, columns, and other concrete elements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your carpentry skills and construction knowledge to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine formwork requirements.
- Construct, assemble, and install formwork using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment in accordance with safety protocols and project specifications.
- Install rebar reinforcement within formwork structures to ensure stability and compliance with engineering standards.
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other machinery necessary for pouring concrete into formwork molds.
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, sealing (caulking), and surface treatments to achieve desired structural quality.
- Maintain strict adherence to construction workplace safety regulations while handling heavy lifting, scaffolding, metal stud framing, masonry work, roofing components, and restoration tasks.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to interpret construction plans accurately and execute tasks efficiently on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction projects as a carpenter or formwork specialist with a solid understanding of concrete forming techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment operation, and concrete pumping systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and safety regulations specific to the construction workplace.
- Skilled in rebar installation, concrete cutting, finishing techniques including plastering and stucco application.
- Experience with renovation projects or commercial building sites is preferred.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights (roofing), and performing repetitive tasks in various weather conditions.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
