About the Role
Alice & Wonder is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our Chicago warehouse team.
This position is primarily responsible for picking, packing, tagging, and preparing merchandise for our retail stores and online customers.
We're looking for someone who works efficiently, pays attention to the little details, and enjoys being part of a fast-moving team. You'll spend your day working with our products—picking merchandise, tagging clothing, preparing store transfers, packing online orders, checking product quality, and making sure orders leave our warehouse accurately and looking great.
Accuracy and productivity are the two biggest priorities in this role.
What You'll Do
Picking, Packing & Store Fulfillment
- Pick merchandise accurately for store transfers and customer orders
- Scan, pack, and prepare inventory transfers for our retail locations
- Verify styles, sizes, colors, and quantities before orders are completed
- Keep orders organized throughout the fulfillment process
- Help ensure stores receive the right merchandise on time
Online Order Fulfillment
- Pick and pack online customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Inspect merchandise before packing to ensure it meets our quality standards
- Prepare packages for shipment
- Make sure orders are neat, accurate, and presentation-ready
- Gift-wrap customer orders when requested
Tagging & Product Preparation
- Tag and label clothing, accessories, and other incoming merchandise
- Prepare new merchandise so it is ready for our stores and customers
- Organize product by style, size, or designated inventory location
- Identify damaged, defective, or incorrect merchandise
- Communicate product or inventory discrepancies to the Warehouse Lead
Warehouse Support
- Help count and verify incoming merchandise
- Assist with inventory counts as needed
- Restock and organize picking and packing areas
- Keep your workstation and surrounding warehouse areas clean and organized
- Work closely with warehouse, shipping, retail, and other teams
- Pitch in with other warehouse tasks when needed

Previous retail, warehouse, inventory, stockroom, picking/packing, or fulfillment experience is helpful, but not required. We're happy to train the right person who is dependable, motivated, and willing to learn.
Physical Requirements
This is an active warehouse position that requires standing and moving throughout the workday.
The position regularly requires:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Bending, reaching, and moving around warehouse work areas
- Picking merchandise from inventory locations
- Packing, folding, tagging, and handling merchandise throughout the day
- Lifting and carrying boxes weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
What Success Looks Like
Get the orders right and get them done.
Our stores receive the correct merchandise. Online customers receive the correct orders. Clothing gets tagged properly. Product is checked before it leaves the warehouse. Orders are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time.
You're someone the team can depend on to consistently get the details right.
