Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of water treatment plants and wastewater systems, ensuring all processes meet regulatory standards and safety protocols.
- Coordinate equipment repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial pumps, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and other critical machinery.
- Oversee heavy equipment operation including tanker trucks, construction machinery, and heavy lifting tasks required for system upgrades or repairs.
- Collect and analyze data related to water quality, system performance, and environmental compliance to optimize operations.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all team members and enforce safety procedures across all activities.
- Lead maintenance teams in plumbing, mechanical repairs, and equipment upgrades while maintaining detailed records of work performed.
- Manage waste management processes at wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and operational standards.
- Support construction projects related to water infrastructure improvements by coordinating with contractors and overseeing site safety.
- Maintain a high level of environmental compliance through regular inspections, documentation, and reporting.
- Foster a team-oriented environment with ongoing training in analysis skills, basic math for measurements, and technical troubleshooting techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience working in water treatment or wastewater treatment plants with a strong understanding of wastewater systems and water treatment processes.
- Demonstrated ability to operate industrial pumps, heavy equipment, and construction tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) used in industrial automation for water management facilities.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues.
- Background working within the energy & utilities sector is highly desirable for understanding industry standards and operational demands.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations related to water quality standards and wastewater discharge requirements.
- Strong analysis skills combined with basic math proficiency for data collection, reporting, and system optimization tasks.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely during maintenance activities while adhering to PPE guidelines.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
