Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving deli products, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our deli department.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations
- Prepare and serve deli products such as sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
- Operate deli equipment including slicers, ovens, and fryers
- Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area
- Upsell additional products or specials to customers
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries or concerns
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Experience working in a restaurant or retail environment is preferred
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems such as Aloha POS is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
