Help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build confidence, succeed in the workplace, and maintain meaningful employment in their community.
To The Rescue is seeking a Supported Employment Specialist to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities find success in community employment. In this role, you'll provide one-on-one job coaching, workplace support, and guidance that helps individuals build confidence, develop independence, and maintain meaningful employment.
Provide on-site job coaching and workplace support
Assist members with learning job duties and meeting employer expectations
Support workplace communication, accommodations, scheduling, and time-off requests
Encourage increasing independence while providing individualized support
Follow individualized service plans and employment goals
Complete required documentation accurately and on time
Monitor member well-being and respond appropriately to changing support needs
Provide direct support based on each individual's plan of care, including medication administration when required
Build positive relationships with employers, members, families, and community partners
Communicate regularly with internal teams regarding member progress
Participate in trainings and team meetings
Passion for helping others succeed
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Patient, dependable, and encouraging
Comfortable working independently throughout the community
Organized and able to manage multiple members and schedules
Valid driver's license and eligibility for company vehicle insurance
Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or GED required
Six months or more of experience supporting individuals with disabilities
Experience in supported employment, vocational rehabilitation, job coaching, human services, or direct support is a plus
Community-based role with regular travel throughout the Parker and Denver metro area
Flexible schedule based on member and employer needs
Combination of community, workplace, office, and residential settings
