Holiday Inn Virginia Beach – Norfolk is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Night Auditor to join our Front Office team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, thrives in a quiet overnight environment, and takes pride in delivering outstanding guest service while ensuring the hotel's daily financial transactions are accurate.
As the Night Auditor, you will serve as the face of the hotel during overnight hours, assisting guests while completing end-of-day accounting procedures that prepare the property for the next business day.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests with check-in and check-out.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to guest requests promptly.
- Perform the nightly audit by balancing daily revenue, room charges, and payments.
- Generate and distribute daily financial and operational reports.
- Process credit card, and electronic transactions accurately.
- Ensure the front desk and lobby remain organized and presentable throughout the shift.
- Monitor hotel security and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Communicate important information to the morning shift and hotel leadership.
- Follow all Holiday Inn and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred:
- Previous hotel front desk or Night Audit experience.
- Experience with Opera & other hotel property management systems.
- basic accounting experience.
