This is an "as needed position". Anticipated needs are Mondays, Fridays, and Saturday mornings during the busy months. Likely no hours in the winter, and will have more hours available next spring.
Bin There Dump That, a roll-off dumpster rental company that specializes in residential renovation projects and restoration is looking for a Delivery Driver. Duties will include delivery and pickup, maintenance and other.
You will deliver and pick up 6 yard - 20-yard roll-off dumpsters for construction and/or household debris. You will be driving a diesel pickup truck with a hook lift to deliver our residential friendly dumpsters to homeowners and contractors. After the job is done, you pick up the bin, dump it at the landfill/transfer station, and move on to the next job. You are the face of our brand to homeowners and contractors and will be friendly, courteous, and professional at all times.
We operate Mon-Fri and are looking for a driver for 20-35 hours per week. Delivery Experts start at 6:45am and finish around 3:30pm. You will be based out of our yard in Madison, WI and you will start and end your day there. We deliver within about a 1 hour drive radius of Madison, WI.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Bin There Dump That delivery truck to transport waste containers.
- Ensure timely delivery and pick up of bins/dumpsters according to the scheduled appointments.
- Maintain communication with the Delivery Consultants and Dispatch Coordinator for real-time updates and changes in the schedule.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, or feedback during delivery/pick up.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is clean, safe and in working order.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating the vehicle.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. No CDL required.
- Fed Med Card i.e. Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) is required.
- Must be 25 years of age or older.
- Professional attitude and appearance are a must.
- Must be able to clearly communicate to colleagues and customers. Represent the company in a professional manner. Understanding of highway traffic signals and rules of the road.
- Clean driving record
- Ability to perform physical requirements (tarp a dumpster, sweep up debris, etc)
- A good understanding of the local area and neighborhoods is a plus.
- Some commercial vehicle operation experience is preferred but not required.
