Summary Description:
Green Acres School is seeking a full-time associate kindergarten teacher to join our dynamic staff community for the 2026–2027 school year. The associate teacher works in collaboration with the kindergarten lead teacher and specials teachers to implement a program that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child in the program. This teacher will support in addressing multiple needs within a lively classroom atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Build positive, nurturing relationships with students
- Assist in preparing and facilitating classroom activities
- Engage students in small groups or one-on-one during homecorner and outdoor play
- Accompany homecorner groups to specials and support specials teachers as needed
- Support documentation of student progress by keeping running records and observations
- As directed, provide student academic support, which may include some narrative report writing and participation at parent conferences
- Collaborate with lead teacher to create and maintain curriculum documentation and displays
- Support with daily routines and maintenance of classroom and outdoor materials
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs (must be able to lift children on/off swings, help with climbing on outdoor equipment, etc.)
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Previous experience relevant to this position.
- A sincere love of working with children and a love of teaching.
- Curiosity and a growth mindset.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
