Responsibilities:
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures for companion animals
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Provide emergency medical care as needed
- Educate clients on preventive healthcare, nutrition, and general pet care
- Maintain accurate medical records of all patients
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to ensure quality patient care
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine and attend continuing education opportunities
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited university
- Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, animal physiology, and veterinary medicine principles
- Proficiency in performing animal catheterization, animal care, and veterinary critical care procedures
- Experience with equine medicine is a plus
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and staff members
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
