Client Requirement: This position is for the support of a female client.
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide individualized support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The DSP will assist clients in achieving personal goals, promoting independence, and enhancing overall quality of life in a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support with daily living activities, community integration, and recreational activities.
- Assist with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Encourage communication, social engagement, and positive interactions.
- Support household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.
- Accompany clients to appointments, community outings, and scheduled activities.
- Support participation in community programs and events.
- Administer medications as prescribed while following proper documentation and safety procedures.
- Implement positive behavior support strategies and redirection techniques when needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and incident reports.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the individual at all times.
- Promptly report concerns, incidents, or changes in condition to supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Valid Maryland driver’s license required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
