Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct oral health assessments and document findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies to promote long-term dental health
- Take and develop diagnostic radiographs (X-rays) to assist in the detection of dental issues
- Assist the dentist during procedures such as fillings, extractions, and other dental treatments with precision and care
- Manage medical documentation related to patient visits, treatment plans, and medical histories with attention to detail
- Report patient conditions and progress clearly to the dental team, ensuring seamless communication across all levels of care
Skills
- Proven experience in dental hygiene or similar clinical roles with a focus on patient service excellence
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, dental procedures, and diagnostic radiology techniques
- Ability to operate EMR/EHR systems efficiently for accurate record keeping and documentation
- Excellent client communication skills to educate patients effectively and address their concerns confidently
- Manual handling skills necessary for performing dental cleanings and assisting with procedures safely
- Familiarity with CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications for emergency preparedness
- Experience with blood sampling, patient condition reporting, and managing acute care situations in a healthcare setting is advantageous

Pay: $44.30 - $53.35 per hour
