Duties
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and cutters to support various tasks.
- Prepare and install formwork and rebar for concrete structures, ensuring accuracy according to blueprints and schematics.
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and sealing activities to create durable surfaces.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprint specifications to execute precise construction tasks.
- Carry out masonry work, stucco application, roofing installation, and framing carpentry including metal stud framing and trim carpentry.
- Support renovation projects by performing demolition, plastering, caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, and restoration work.
- Safely operate heavy machinery and vehicles for material transport or site development as required.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation.
- Experience with construction estimating processes and reading detailed blueprints or technical drawings.
- Proficiency in working with concrete forms, rebar installation, concrete finishing techniques, and concrete pumping systems.
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Ability to interpret construction plans accurately for various trades including carpentry, masonry, roofing, and metal framing.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills along with power tools necessary for diverse tasks on-site.
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for site development or material handling.
- Familiarity with schematics for heavy equipment operation or electrical layouts when applicable.
- Experience in working on construction projects involving restoration or renovation efforts across commercial or residential sites.
