Responsibilities
- Cultivate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, cold calling, and lead generation strategies within assigned territories.
- Manage and grow existing accounts by providing tailored solutions, conducting product demos, and upselling where appropriate.
- Develop comprehensive territory plans to maximize sales coverage and market penetration.
- Conduct detailed product presentations and technical sales demonstrations to prospective clients, highlighting features that meet their specific needs.
- Negotiate contracts, close deals efficiently, and ensure seamless onboarding for new clients.
- Utilize CRM software and sales management systems to track customer interactions, forecast sales, and analyze territory performance.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns that support business development efforts and enhance brand visibility.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing client inquiries promptly and providing ongoing support to foster long-term relationships.
Experience
- Proven track record in outside sales, B2B sales, or territory management with a focus on technology or industrial products.
- Demonstrated success in business development, account management, and direct sales environments.
- Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar CRM software for lead tracking and customer relationship management.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with the ability to close deals effectively in a remote or field-based setting.
- Familiarity with marketing strategies related to prospecting, lead generation, and product demos is highly desirable.
- Management experience is a plus, especially in leading or mentoring sales teams within a territory.
- Excellent analysis skills for evaluating market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions.
- Adept at using technology sales techniques including technical demonstrations and upselling strategies to maximize revenue opportunities.
