DETENTION DEPUTY
Minimum Requirements
•Citizen of the United States
•High School Diploma or GED
•At least 18 years old for detention
•Never have been convicted of a felony charge
•Never have been convicted of any criminal offense that carries a sentence of a year or more, nor of any criminal offense that involves moral turpitude
•Never have been convicted of a domestic violence charge

•Deliver it with required documents to the detention center, mail it or email it to the recruiter
•Oral interview board
•Written test
•Background investigation
•Polygraph examination

•Medical examination
*** NOTE that you must fill out the agency application to begin the hiring process
Once employed as a Detention Deputy, our agency provides all on-site training. Within the first year of employment, you will attend a 3-week academy at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in Columbia, SC if not already certified from another agency.
