Construction Site SuperintendentOverview
CAVU Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Site Superintendent to lead on-site operations for commercial and federal construction projects. The Superintendent is responsible for coordinating all field activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements and CAVU's commitment to quality.
Our projects include renovations, facility upgrades, healthcare facilities, military installations, government buildings, and other commercial construction throughout the United States. Experience with federal construction is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day field operations from project start through closeout.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project stakeholders to maintain project schedules and productivity.
- Maintain a safe jobsite by enforcing OSHA standards, EM 385-1-1 requirements when applicable, and company safety policies.
- Ensure work complies with contract documents, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable building codes.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project schedules.
- Perform and document Quality Control inspections throughout all phases of construction.
- Coordinate owner inspections, government inspections, and project acceptance activities.
- Prepare and maintain daily reports, schedules, photographs, and project documentation using Procore.
- Identify potential schedule impacts or field issues and work proactively with the Project Manager to develop solutions.
- Manage project punch lists and support project closeout activities.
- Foster positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams while maintaining a professional jobsite.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial construction projects.
- Experience managing federal construction projects for agencies such as the VA, DoD, USACE, or other government entities strongly preferred.
- Quality Control experience required.
- USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification preferred.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- Thorough understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel as project assignments require.
- Valid driver's license.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
