Responsible for supervising, coordinating, and directing unit activities related to operation and maintenance of Santee Cooper’s Distribution ArcFM GIS model (currently undergoing an upgrade to EcoStruxure, XI ArcFM/ ArcGIS Utility Network). Administration includes supervision of Engineers, Technical Associates, and Engineering Associates in modeling system attributes and electrical circuitry. This position is also responsible for ensuring prompt and fair investigation of customer related damage claims.
Essential Job Tasks:
- Plans and organizes the activities associated with the computerized mapping of all distribution-related work requests to ensure the model is an accurate reflection of our existing electrical distribution system.
- Coordinates with other departments regarding the overall operation of Project Support.
- Updates the Business Continuity Plan for GIS.
- Maintains the filing system for original project designs.
- Provides support to designers with any GIS problems regarding work requests or system performance. Utilizes computer systems (GIS, WMIS, CCS, Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, etc.) to aid in performing everyday tasks.
- Coordinates with other departments that interface and/or require information from the Distribution GIS software.
- Keeps up-to-date with all applicable guidelines, directives, policies, and procedures.
- Completes supervisory duties for daily unit operation and annual employee evaluations.
- Runs and analyzes monthly goals reports and distributes to Project Support unit for their review and evaluation.
- Oversees the Distribution Line Asset Program, including planning and management of capital projects, maintenance contracts, and inspection programs for all distribution line assets.
- Reviews and approves work coordinated through the department Engineer and Engineering Technician.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or GIS + 8 years experience.
- Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, along with relevant GIS experience, will also be considered.
- P.E. Preferred.
- Must have computer skills and experience with ESRI/GIS software.
Compensation Information:
$130,080 - $162,580 (min. - mid.)
